Who is Bronco Libre?
Behind the mask is a Denver native, husband, father of two, and proud Broncos season ticket holder who works a standard 9-to-5 managing retirement funds during the week. On Sundays, he transforms into his stadium alter ego — a persona that initially started as a simple Halloween costume in 2015. He donned the mask for the first time in 2016, and a legend was born.
His dedication to the franchise earned him a prestigious nomination for the official NFL Fan of the Year — a testament to the energy and culture he brings to Empower Field at Mile High every game day.
Bronco Libre uses the character to proudly showcase his Mexican heritage and bridge the gap between Bronco Nation and Denver's massive Latino fanbase. He's more than a superfan — he's a cultural ambassador.

The Tailgates
Bronco Libre and his friends have been tailgating for over 20 years, mostly in Lot C-10 of Mile High Stadium. What started as a small gathering has grown into one of the most iconic tailgate experiences in Broncos Country.
The tailgates are massive, inclusive celebrations featuring authentic tacos, Modelo beer, and a live DJ at most events. Funds raised go toward covering the all-inclusive experience: food, drinks, music, planning, and securing the tailgate spot.
Mexico City Connection
Since 2024, Bronco Libre has partnered with a group in Mexico City that wanted an all-inclusive tailgate experience. The response has been incredible — approximately 100+ fans a year fly in from Mexico specifically for the season opener tailgate.
Whether you're a Denver local or traveling from across the border, there's a spot for you at Lot C-10. The tailgate is for everyone — come hungry, come ready to celebrate, and come as you are.
